Well, I should have been spending this Sunday afternoon hanging out with family, but Math.Promo wasn’t going to publish itself! 🙂
What you see on this page is the book that is going to bring me back into the mathematics fold. As of January 8 I’ll be a student at Indiana University East, getting a second bachelor’s in…
You guessed it…
Mathematics!
Sadly, it has been decades since my last college math course…so I am starting from scratch. It’ll be a bit expensive given how many classes I could have skipped…but it’ll help me be better prepared and to keep more of my hair. (If you check out “About” you’ll see I don’t have much left to give away!)
So, I’m kicking off my new site to promote math this last day of 2017…while looking forward in 2018 to getting back into a subject I have loved since I first started school.
I think. I mean, I really don’t remember much from elementary school. 🙂
(Although I do remember, in fifth grade at Canaan Elementary School, testing badly in geometry, and Mrs. Franz forcing me to build all kinds of drinking-straw and pipe-cleaner 3D geometric shapes. It wasn’t until geometry was used as the basis of a high school logic class I stopped hating that part of mathematics.)
Well, enough of math-PTSD stories. Happy New Year everyone!
